Kasam Bogona explains the tragic landing and first years of survival to his new friends and colleagues
The wreckage is part of a secret to be revealed to the newcomers from earth
The website trailer
I assume that the astute reader of this Naleli website (Naleli means starlight in Sesotho) picked up quickly on the image of a starship that was not one of the three launched from earth used in the linked trailer. You should assume that ship to be other-worldly and, in line with this fiction, the ship that brought the inhabitants of Chacandor Ris from their home world of Lefatse.
A test of friendship
In Part 2 of the book, Kasam Bogona, leader of his community, takes his friends and colleagues, Daniel and Carrie along with others, to see the wreckage of the Ris people starship now entombed deep in a cavern in the mountains that house Chacandor Ris.
A new joint community
Kasam has a vital reasons for this visit to this underground mausoleum and viewing the wreckage. He reveals his motive to Daniel and, at first, Daniel is shocked. Their friendship tested; it holds firm as Carrie plays a central role in consummating a new community union.
